The sequal to the cult poker classic rounders, looks set to go after movie compnay Miramax have annouced that they
are set to sign a deal to include a follow up to the original Rounders. It’s thought this decision will bring some much needed hysteria into the world of poker players, who latched onto the 1998 film staring Matt Damon and Edward Norton.
the original rounders were claimed to be part of teh first poker ‘boom’ back in 1998 following the life and times of two poker players winning large ammounts of money in an attempt to get themselves free from debt. However, fans of the movie will no doubt be hoping for a re-union on screen of the orginiinal cast that helped take Rounders to one of the best poker films of all time.
“Rounders is something that we talk about because whenever we see Matt Damon, whenever we see Edward Norton, who we’re friends with, we talk about doing it,” said Levein.
“We’ve kept in touch with John Dahl. We have this idea that we really want to pick these characters up down the road. So it is something we plan to do, we just don’t have it on the calendar yet.”
