Sorel Mizzi has capped his ‘greatest’ year to date in 2010 by capturing teh coverted Bluff Magazine Player of teh Year award. the 24 year old Canadian who resides in his home town of Toronot, Canada, has taken home nearly $2 million in prize money from live pok
er alone.
His year got off to a dream start when in January of 2010 he finihsed 3rd in teh Aussie Millions for a staggering $638,000, which remains his biggest cash to date. Couple that with numerous victories on both american and European soil, and with numnerous final tables, the young gun has made 2010 a stand out year and looks set to continue his hard work into 2011 as he begins to prepare for another tough year.
“There hasn’t been any doubt that Sorel Mizzi would win the prestigious award as he remained atop both the Bluff Player Of The Year rankings and the Bluff/ESPN Poker Power rankings for several months,” read a statement from TitanPoker.com.
Mizzi is now a recognised player on the poker circuit with all the attention he has (and deservadly so) received throughout the past months. It will be interesting to see if he can raise his game as people will certainly have to do against him as his results are there for all to see.
