One of the largest sports betting and casino sites in the world, Betfair, are currently seeing some major problems with players poker wallets. It’s been reported that whilst players can register for tournaments and continue to buy in to cash games
, reloads and re buys have not been working, whilst still taking money from the players account.
Reports of people having sums of $20,000 have gone missing from some players accounts and whilst Betfair have acknowledge the problem, they released a small statement on their website for customers to not panic and that funds will start to be returned in a few days.
It appears that customers of Betfair are furious, not only at the problem itself, but the way that its support have handled the issue with some very shady and vague one sentence responses on Betfair forums.
It’s still not sure if players will get a full refund of the money that has been lost, but one thing is for certain, Betfair’s, at one time stellar reputation, is well and truly on the ropes and as the whole of the online poker industry awaits the turnaround of finds, it’s thought that the current situation may be a breaker for the multi million pound company.
