England and former Manchester United legend David Beckham arrived at Tottenham Hotspurs training ground today for what appears to of been a series of medical tests. Rumours have linked the club with Beckham for some time now regarding a loan move as he p
repares to get himself match fir throughout the MLS off season.
However, whilst we know that Beckham will train with the North London outfit, it is still unsure whether he will play any part in any competitive matches for the club. It is believed that talks have broken down in terms of how much Spurs are willing pay towards Beckhams wage currently paid by LA Galaxy.
Beckham has arrived at White Hart Lane in an attempt to revive his England career and prove to manager Fabio Capello that he is still fit and strong enough to pull on the Three Lions jersey.
journalists caught a brief glimpse of Beckham at the training ground today, but he failed to stop and talk offering only a smile and wave whilst fashioning a Tottenham Hotspurs tracksuit. Tim Sherwood, spurs’ first team coach said a few words to reporters:
“He’s a great ambassador for the country. Good luck to him,” Sherwood said.
“He’s welcome to come and train with the club. If he eventually starts to play for us then that would be good. It’s a complex situation.”
As a Man U fan i’m so happy to see becks back playing in the premier league. The guy is without doubt a legend of the game and it’s a matter of time before we have to call him ‘Sir David’.
